Painting in Lara
Lara is one of Geelong's fastest-growing corridors, with new estates popping up alongside established homes and rural properties. Colin Reid Painting & Decorating is based locally and has painted plenty of Lara homes — from new build estates to established weatherboards and everything in between. Being just out of Geelong, there's no travel premium for Lara jobs.
What's different about painting in Lara
- ✓Lara's new estates need flexible paints that handle fresh render, new plaster and timber settling
- ✓Established Lara homes often have older weatherboards and trims needing prep work before repainting
- ✓Lara's exposure to open rural winds means exterior paints need good flexibility and UV resistance
- ✓Many Lara clients are building or renovating — we can work alongside builders and other trades
